Deoxycholic Acids

The new Deoxycholate (DEOXYCHOLIC ACIDs) fat dissolving injection is designed to treat those difficult localised pockets of fat such as under chin area (double chin). This active ingredient is intended for the treatment of “stubborn” fat deposits which are often resistant to diet and exercise.

The lipolytic treatment consists of lipolytic application with injections directly into the fatty tissue of the treated under chin area region. During application, active substances lead to cracking of the membranes of fat cells in the treated zone and to outpouring of their content into the surrounding tissue.

From there, in a natural way, via the bloodstream, the fat is transported to the liver and gets thrown out of our organism. It is necessary to emphasise that this procedure doesn’t change the level of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.

The procedure itself is painless. After 15 minutes of the application, a sense of itching, redness and mild swelling of the treated region appears. After two hours, redness and discomfort disappear. In the next few weeks, there is some sensitivity when the treated fatty tissue is pressed. The treatment effect is observed approximately 1 month after the application and the final effect comes after 2 months.

Lipolysis treatment lasts from 20 to 30 minutes and enables the continuation of the usual daily activities right after the intervention.

How many treatments are required?

The under chin region is treated with 3 to 4 treatments, every 4 weeks, until the wanted effect is achieved. The process of fatty cells breakdown is slow and the lipolytic affects the skin in such a way that makes it more firm and doesn’t allow an excess of skin to appear after the fat loss. Depending on the amount of fatty tissue on the patient’s body, sometimes a single treatment is enough.

Are there any complications during or after the treatment?

During the treatment bruises may occur and that’s why it is advised to pause with taking substances that dilute the blood and increase the risk of bruises, like Aspirin, Nurofen, Voltaren, Ginkgo Biloba, and Vitamin E. An occurrence of painful nodules is usual and transient and it is a consequence of an inflammatory process that develops when fat is dissolved. Three days after the treatment, massages and the usual exercises may begin. It is recommended to drink from 1.5 to 2 liters of fluids a day.

Is the lipolysis treatment permanent?

The effect is permanent in persons who do not gain weight again. For persons allergic to soy and vitamin B, lipolysis treatments are not recommended.
